Bert TerHorst was an invaluable help to us in our international move to BC. In a hot market, he helped us make really good investments that fit our needs. We’re now in the home of our dreams in Coldstream, have a vacation property close by, and have a brand new warehouse space closer to Kelowna which is up and running, ready for our growing business. Bert worked tirelessly to find us these different spaces and was patient with us as we were going back and forth between BC and our home state. He gave us his thoughts — when asked — on how to tweak design and architectural issues in the properties we were considering, and even provided contacts so we could work with local builders and city council. Because of the timing of our move, we had to navigate some of this remotely over the course of several months — and Bert was ready to give calm advice whenever we needed it. Bert has a wealth of experience working with different aspects of all properties –he was certified as an architect in his previous country– making him a fantastic agent. He gives sound advice on both residential and commercial properties and stays knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the Okanagan area. Most importantly, he has first-hand knowledge of what it’s like to make a big move with school-age kids and all your belongings in tow, and he helped keep our spirits up! Bert made this process easier for us, and for that we are forever grateful!

Bert is a wonderful and knowledgeable realtor who helped me buy a vacation rental condo in Kelowna. I first met Bert a few years ago while vacationing with my family in Kelowna. He put me on a mailing list that was tailored to my needs, and he showed me a few properties I wanted to view. He made some suggestions as to properties that I should look at. Over the next few years, I watched the properties he sent me daily. Whenever I vacationed in Kelowna, Bert would diligently show me the properties I wanted to view, despite the fact that I had never made an offer to that point. Finally, several years after we met, I was ready to purchase a unit, and it turns out, in the very complex that Bert had suggested I buy in at the start! The fact that I bought based on his original suggestion tells me that he knows the market well. The fact that he put up with me for years as a buyer’s agent tells me he is committed to his clients. At the end of the day he helped negotiate a great price on a beautiful unit, and I am very happy with him and the sale. I highly recommend Bert!
